Hull-Zeebrugge-Rotterdam-Hull

From the U.K., you can ride a circular bike tour, using P&O ferry services Hull to Zeebrugge (Belgium) and Rotterdam to Hull.

Zeebrugge

When arriving at Zeebrugge there are three options.
Shortest route, 162 km in total, is to start with the Belgian Coast Route, and join the LF1 some kilometres across the Dutch border. Follow knooppunt signs 34-37-42-45-29-32-37-10-14.

As an alternative, take the N31 road to trainstation Lissewege, then ride the LF1 2003 extension to Damme and Sluis.

Rotterdam-Europoort

To visit the town of Brugge, continue on a former towpath along the Boudewijn canal, and in Brugge you can pick up the Classical LF1 direction Holland.

P&O ferry terminal is about 40 km away from the town of Rotterdam. After a route change in 2011 the LF1 route runs more close to the coast, 12 km from the terminal. A connection with the ferry is included in the GPX file and on the Geocommons map as section 5a. Or use the cycle intersection numbers: leave the LF1b route at node 3 near Oostvoorne. Go to  4-5-6-2-51-52-54.

From that point turn briefly in direction node 56, then turn right to a cyclepath along the highway which brings you across a bridge over the canal. From there look for signposts direction Hull ferry. The red signs are for cyclists.
